Marathon Florida Charter Fishing Trips and Rates FAQs 1. What is the best fishing season in Marathon? While fishing marathon florida style is highly productive year-round, the absolute ideal time depends entirely on your target species. Late spring through summer (May through August) is widely considered the peak season overall because stable weather and calm seas allow us to easily run offshore. 2. What fish are in season in Marathon? There are always great marathon fl fish species to target depending on the time of year:

Spring: Tarpon, cobia, and snapper.

Summer: Mahi Mahi (Dolphin), tuna, and reef mangrove snapper.

Fall: Mutton snapper, permit, and wahoo.

Winter: Sailfish, king mackerel, and grouper.

3. At the end of the trip, Captain Craig will clean, fillet, and bag your catch at the dock completely free of charge. We can also recommend excellent local restaurants that will cook your fresh catch right down the road. 7. This limit includes all individuals on board, regardless of age, to comply fully with United States Coast Guard safety regulations. 8. What is your cancellation and weather policy?Safety is our top priority. If Captain Craig determines that the weather or sea conditions are unsafe for your scheduled trip, we will attempt to reschedule your group to another open day. If a reschedule is not possible due to your travel plans, you will receive a full 100% refund of your deposit. 9. Is gratuity included in the listed charter rates? No, custom tipping is not included in the baseline trip cost. It is industry standard to tip your captain or mate 15% to 20% for excellent service, hard work, and a clean, safe vessel. 10.
